Colour is Good - New Logo for Daisy Mooo

Its no secret that I'm a huge fan of colour...I'm not one to shy away from the hottest pink, vibrant turquoise, fine lime or even the sunniest of yellows. It is a colourful world out there and I'm glad to part of it - Colour is Good!...

...Which is why I've been in my element these past couple of days, working on a new logo for a very colourful craft business called Daisy Mooo.

Daisy Mooo are a mother and daughter team who create the most wonderful, brightly coloured, kawaii inspired wooden home accessories. If you fancy a bright pink kokeshi doll chalk board or a supercute icecream wall hanging Jess & Kim are your ladies, check out their fab facebook page:

Logo & Website Make-Over for Jenny's Pampering

This week I've given Jenny's Pampering website and logo a bit of a make-over.

Jenny approached me to redesign her company logo and give her pampering business its own, unique identity. Jenny provides pampering parties and services to both adults and children offering manicures, tanning, waxing and make-overs.

My design needed to appeal to both ladies and little girls, and have the same 'feel-good' factor you would have if you're lucky enough to experience a bit of pampering from Jenny!

I also created a small library of clip illustrations for Jenny to use across her website and also use on any future marketing materials. Please pop over to Jenny's website to see my illustrations in action:

This Bird Has Started Tweeting!

Well, I've only gone and done it...I've signed myself up to twitter...and I feel a total twit, because I've not got a clue what to do! I'm sure I'll figure it out...eventually!

What finally prompted me was facebook changing all their fan page set up last week and me spending most of last Friday trying to get my head around all the changes. I thought to myself, if I can master all of that, surely twitter can't be that difficult. So, I got brave and set myself up...made it all look pretty - but don't know what you're actually supposed to do (oops!)...I mean, whats with all the #ff #fb @blah-dee-blah ???? !!!!!!! :-/

Oh boy! - and to think, I used to be able to use a bit of MS Dos (there, showed my age!).

PLEASE hear my plea! - if you are reading this and you tweet, pop and say hello as ALL ADVICE WILL BE VERY, VERY GRATEFULLY RECEIVED!

It had to be done though, I've gained so much already from dipping my toes into blogging, Illustration Friday-ing and facebook pages...So, here's to tweeting too!

Two Brand New Sections on my Website

A few months ago on here, I posted that I had added another string to my bow - designing web banner & avatars for other small businesses. This past week I've been busy developing a bundle of logos, banners and avatars for Muddy Puddle Crafts. Jo from Muddy Puddle wanted a total re-brand of her social networking sites and Folksy shop to tie in with the launch of her shiny new website. Jo creates the most wonderful hand-painted wooden home accessories which are easily recognised by their cheerful riot of colours, spots, buttons, wire & raffia. Why not see for yourselves: www.muddypuddlecrafts.com

I've also finally got my act together and created two new sections of my website. The first is promoting my web banner & avatar design service and the second is a section dedicated to my bespoke, illustrated wedding and event stationery designs. I've been meaning to put these sections up for a while and have finally had an opportunity to do it. I'm feeling such a sweet sense of achievement as both things have been on my 'to do' list for ages. Please feel free go and have a look: www.artworkbyangie.com
