Going Local With A Click & Collect Service..

Hello,

The weeks are flying by at the moment.  You may have seen a couple of weeks ago I've been gathering lots of tea and cake themed stock.  There's a special reason for that.  My friend Ali owns a lovely and very popular cake shop, Nice Buns in the centre of our town, Bridgwater in Somerset. Recently, she moved to bigger premises inside The Cornhill Indoor Market, which is a gorgeous old building right in the heart of Bridgwater that has been the central trading post for the town since medieval times.  These days, it's very much a thriving hub for the town's independent traders, where you'll discover everything from fresh local produce to unique and retro inspired fashion, jewellery, craft and of course, tasty freshly made cakes and bespoke special occasion cakes...

Nice Buns has been stocking my Life is Sweet range of greetings cards for quite a while now, but with the move came the opportunity for me to increase the amount of stock of my designs.  Ali has kindly offered a bit of shelf space in her bigger shop, so that some of my prints, gift wrap and note card sets can nestle beside her sugar craft items.

Along with adding some extra lines to the shop, we've worked out an arrangement where I can offer a 'click and collect' service for local customers.  On the counter in Nice Buns, you will find a stack of cards with a coupon code for my website for local shoppers.  This code will enable local people buying anything from my website to deduct 20% from their order to save on the postage cost and the code will also indicate to me that the item needs to be delivered to Nice Buns for collection from the shop, easy peasy!....

You'll find all the items below inside Nice Buns...

and finally, here's the lovely Ali, owner and creative talent behind Nice Buns, hard at work on a wedding cake...

If you are ever in Bridgwater, a visit to Cornhill Market and Nice Buns will guarantee a smile and a very warm welcome not to mention a chance to eat fantastically tasty cakes.

On the subject of stockists, I have another new stockist I want to mention.  Pippins Gifts & Home Accessories is a delightful online shop packed with shabby chic loveliness and is now stocking many of my cards including my Bloomin Lovely and Living the Dream collections, which you can find here:

Have a lovely week!
Best wishes

My Society 6 Spring Clean...

Hello,
Hope you've all had a good week. I've been head down getting on with commissioned work mostly this week.  I have a broad variety of commissioned projects on the go this month - I'm really rather excited about them as it's a case of no two days the same.  In between these jobs I've been trying to get some online shops housekeeping done as I'll soon need to start developing some new ranges for later in the year, so wanted to tidy up some loose ends before that all kicks off.

One of the tasks I've wanted to tick off my list is start to get my Society 6 shop in order and upload some of my more recent pattern designs.  This week I made a good start on that...

You can now find my Botanically Black and Bluebirds designs available from the US on iphone cases, laptop skins, tote bags, prints etc in my Society 6 shop here:

I've also added my Hollyhocks and London patterns to all sorts of items too...

It's a great way to see how the designs will work on all this items and it's prompted me to do some research into getting such items printed here in the UK as I'm always keen to support local and homegrown businesses and cut down on carbon footprints.  I pleased to say, I'll be able to announce more on that soon ;)

The other great thing about having a little tidy up is it brings a few more very welcome visitors to my Society 6 store.  The result of that has been that Society 6 have now added my Woodland Wild Things design (see below) to their main online store, which I am very happy about. So that has made all the effort worthwhile!

Have a lovely weekend!

Best wishes
