TA DA! - Introducing the 'Living The Dream' Range

Hello!

Well, as you all know, I've been busy this summer working on my next big range of greetings cards entitled 'Living The Dream'.  The entire range is all about joyful escapes to the coast and country & reliving childhood memories of endless summers playing in the great outdoors!...

...There are 18 designs in this new collection and all 18 are now available to view here in my portfolio:

...All 18 will also be available to preview on The Heart of A Garden's stand at the NEC's Autumn Fair International, stand 4D02 (which incidentally is a change to the previous stand number I was quoting):

...The designs are being previewed at the Autumn Fair and will be given a whistles and bells 'launch' at Spring Fair International in Feb 2013.  This is mainly because as you can see, this is very much a 'Spring/Summer' collection!...

...I've not put all the designs up here as it goes on a bit, but as I said, they are now all in my portfolio...

...and believe me when I tell you this has been a true labour of love as I've been burning the midnight oil for many days...

...but plenty of family days out were needed in the name of research for this range so it wasn't all work, work, work!...

...If you nip over to my Folksy shop - you'll see a few more of the designs have made it over there as listings already:

...when I get a chance, I'll be listing them in all my other shops too...

...You see that last one above 'I get by with a little help from my friends' -  I'd say never a truer word because I'd like to say a huge thank you to my family and friends for all the support and encouragement they've given me over the past couple of years whilst I've spent more hours than is probably advisable plugged into my computer, lost in my own little world that is Artwork By Angie...

Finally, you may also have spotted that I've had a little bit of a tidy up on here and on my website.  I'm just getting organised to make it easier for myself uploading new stuff in the coming weeks around ongoing orders and commissions, as I'm currently working on some new designs for Ch...Chr...Chri...NO, NO, I can't bring myself to say it yet as we're still in August for goodness sake, but I'm sure YULE know what I mean! ;)

Have a great week

Angie :)

A Big Summery Hello!

HELLO!

It's been a little while, so I thought I'd drop by with a bright, breezy summer themed hello.

Hope you've all been enjoying the summer too.  I have to say that all the thrills, drama and excitement of the Olympic games have helped keep me very inspired over the past couple weeks - which has been perfect timing as in between lots of family days out, I've been busy getting my next big range of cards finished off...

...and as you can see from the sneaky peeks above and below, the whole range is very summery and cheerful.  There's still a bit to do, but it won't be long before I can reveal it all to you properly here.  Although a few designs from the range may make their way into my online shops very soon...

...I also wanted to show off a few items I've been very lucky to have had sent to me recently.

For the past few months, I think its fair to say that I have done A LOT of branding work.  The lovely thing about these types of jobs is I get to work with some fabulous designer makers which is great for bouncing ideas off of each other and generally keeping inspired.  Every now and then I'm very lucky to receive a parcel out of the blue as a thank you.  Can you imagine how delighted I was when I found parcels with these gorgeous things on my doorstep (call me soppy, but I admit it, I shed happy tears!)...

...first up, the most beautiful hand-made bunting from Lulu & Buttons
Louise has made these from gorgeous Cath Kidston fabrics mixed with vintage embroidered pieces (which is the bit I love most, I do love a mix of old and new)...the quality and attention to detail is absolutely spot on.  I originally wanted to hang this near my desk (as I spend so much time there!) but both my daughters wanted it in their rooms (eek, conflict situation!)...so a compromise was reached and it's now on display near the dining table where we can all see it!...

...then, a few days later another gorgeous parcel arrived from Laura at Rococo Creations
...and I've been wearing this lovely little birdy round my neck loads ever since -  it always makes me smile!

THANK YOU so much Louise and Laura -they are both very beautiful items and I'm really proud to show them off.

Lulu & Buttons and Rococo Creations are both found on facebook so please click the links (by clicking their  names) and take a look :)

One last thing before I sign off.  Another parcel arrived last week, it was a book that Your Indies has put together as a guide to the best independent shops on the web...

...and have a look to see who is on pages 19 and 20...

..Hello, hello!-  that's me and my felt pens!  YAY!...you can find me on Your Indies at: www.yourindies.com/artworkbyangie

Have a great week!
Best wishes

Angie : )
